Enterprise Social Software Start-Up Magnet Systems Selected as FiRe 2011 FiReStarter Company

Strategic News Service (SNS) is proud to announce that Magnet Systems, Inc. has been selected as a 2011 FiReStarter company, to be featured at its annual Future in Review (FiRe) technology conference. FiReStarter companies are selected based on their potential to bring positive change to the world, and are showcased before, after and during the conference, both onstage and at an exclusive investor reception. Magnet Systems Founder and CEO, Alfred Chuang will serve as a featured speaker at Future in Review 2011.

Magnet Systems, a Palo Alto, California-based enterprise social software start up that recently secured $12.6M in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, has created the Workplace Interaction Network (WIN), a development platform that enables companies to build and deploy cloud-based enterprise-ready social applications. The first application to run on WIN is Sales WIN, which utilizes the connectedness of social networking and natural business flow identification to help sales people understand their customers better and best utilize resources to meet their needs.

With the premise that it is an employee’s network (and ability to communicate and collaborate) that really fuels business, Sales WIN enables companies to have close connections to their customers by providing better visibility into their relationships. Sales reps, sales managers and the company as a whole will be able to more accurately predict sales forecasts as well as dramatically enhance sales productivity.

“Not only are the capabilities and workflows of enterprise applications changing dramatically, the delivery of these applications is undergoing an equally significant change,” said Chuang, founder and CEO, Magnet Systems. “As enterprises move into the cloud, WIN is going to help accelerate that migration.”

Future in Review is an annual gathering of world-class thought leaders in technology and economics. FiRe attendees convene each year with the goal of solving major world problems; a goal that is consistently met through FiRe’s collaboration across disparate industries and the intellectual and strategic guidance of FiRe Chair and SNS CEO, Mark Anderson.

SNS has been operating the annual FiRe Conference for nine years. The Economist calls FiRe “the best technology conference in the world.” FiRe exposes world experts and participants to new ideas, producing an accurate portrait of the future and focuses on creating technology solutions to current local and global problems. FiRe 2011 will take place May 24-27, 2011 at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, CA.

“Magnet is a great addition to the roster of innovative start-ups speaking at this year’s conference. Magnet Systems is laying the groundwork for companies around the globe to securely and productively bring social applications to the enterprise,” said Anderson.

Strategic News Service was founded by Mark Anderson in 1995 as the first paid online news service.
